Nick Vannett signs with Titans

Fantasy Impact: Vannett will join the seventh team of his NFL career. He'll add depth to the tight end room with the Titans.


The Chiefs re-signed LB Cole Christiansen. (Source: Matt Derrick on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Christiansen was re-signed after Kansas City released DT Matt Dickerson. The Chiefs withdrew his tender offer to make room for the UDFA class but optioned to bring him back.

Fantasy Impact: Dickerson made 12 appearances with the Chiefs last season. It is possible he eventually re-signs with Kansas City later in the offseason as he did last year after he was released.

Fantasy Impact: The Broncos sign Dorsett just a few days after they released him. He will compete for a roster spot throughout camp.


Freddie Swain signs with Bears

Fantasy Impact: Swain did not play in a regular season game last season as he was on the Dolphins' practice squad. He will compete for a spot on the Bears roster throughout training camp.

Fantasy Impact: MVS recorded 315 receiving yards and one touchdown on 21 receptions during the Chiefs’ regular season in 2023. The 29-year-old will join a reworked wide receiver group that will look to build chemistry with QB Josh Allen.


Jared Goff has signed a contract extension with the Detroit Lions for 4 years worth up to $212 million. Goff is now the second-highest paid quarterback per year at $53 million, only behind Joe Burrow. (Source: Jordan Schultz on X)

Fantasy Impact: The Lions were able to secure their franchise quarterback for four more years. Goff finished last year as the QB7 overall after a healthy year. However, he only finished as QB13 in points per game among fellow quarterbacks with six or more starts. Goff has had solid production in the last two years, and remains a viable option in fantasy for both one quarterback and superflex leagues.

Fantasy Impact: The new deal makes him the highest paid defensive back in NFL history. The 25-year-old tallied six forced fumbles, three interceptions, and 12 passes defensed last season and will remain a key component of the Bucs’ defense.


Lucas Patrick signs with Saints

Fantasy Impact: Patrick has played in 96 games since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He spent the past two seasons with the Bears and should add some versatility to the offensive line for the Saints.


Gerrid Doaks released by Texans

Fantasy Impact: Doaks has yet to appear in an NFL game since being drafted in the seventh-round in 2021. He'll likely look to battle for a roster spot on a new team.

Fantasy Impact: Averett was with the Lions and 49ers last season, but did not appear in a game. He'll battle for a spot on the roster throughout camp.


Tommy Sweeney signs with Bears

Fantasy Impact: Sweeney missed all of last season after he collapsed and had a “medical event” on the practice field. He will look to earn a spot on the Bears roster out of training camp.


WR Albert Wilson announced his retirement from the NFL after seven seasons. (Source: Bobby Shouse on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Wilson played four seasons with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent. He spent the next three years in Miami. Wilson also spent the past three seasons with Minnesota and Las Vegas, but did not see the field. He finishes his career having caught 218 passes for 2,499 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Fantasy Impact: Cruikshank had a tryout last Friday with Atlanta. He will attempt to earn a spot on the 53-man roster out of camp.


Zay Jones has come to an agreement on a one-year contract with the Cardinals. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Jones was released late last month after spending the last couple of seasons with the Jaguars. The 29-year-old wide receiver will bring seven seasons of NFL experience to the Arizona receiver room. Jones had his best campaign as a pro in 2022, hauling in 82 passes for 823 yards and five scores. He was limited to nine games last season due to multiple nagging injuries and finished the season with 34 grabs for 321 yards.


Tarik Cohen released by Panthers

Fantasy Impact: In an attempt to put multiple injuries behind him and make a return to an NFL field, Cohen spent all of the last season with Carolina's scout team. He was inked to a new contract this past January with hopes of competing for a spot on the 2024 roster. Cohen was once a Pro-Bowl caliber return man and pass-catching specialist out of the backfield, but he has not played in an NFL game since 2020.


Ben Skowronek has been traded to the Houston Texans. Skowronek was originally expected to be released, but instead, the Rams will receive compensation for him, which involves a 6th and 7th-round pick swap between the Rams and the Texans in 2026. (Source: Tom Pelissero on X)

Fantasy Impact: Skowronek joins a stacked wide receiver room in Houston, which includes Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and the newly acquired Stefon Diggs. Skowronek will likely be a depth piece in the Texans' wide receiver room, and won't be fantasy relevant in standard 12 team leagues.

Fantasy Impact: Rourke spent time with both the Jaguars and Patriots after playing in the CFL. He figures to add some depth to the quarterback room in New York with the Giants.

Fantasy Impact: Robinson is coming off a disappointing 2023 season in which he recorded 280 receiving yards on 34 receptions in 17 games. Fantasy managers should expect the 30-year-old to operate as a depth receiver for the Giants.
